Just been reading through this thread. Reckon the fact they have both been liking the comments and his mum has commented mean that it was in fact Franklin who made him ask to leave the club? If so what a shame now he’s gone as hes looking like he could be the real deal. Kept an eye on him during the 50 over and took key wickets and took like 18 overall, way more than any of our seamers.
Wonder when the club will announce Dickson is leaving or maybe now he’ll stay now that Franklin’s going. Wonder if that will mean any other players will change their mind and stay for the long term now? Hopefully now we will get a coach who is invested properly in the squad and plays players on merit for performance and not just the same squad.

Would anything think Gidman would be a good appointment?

I'd have no problem with Gidman taking over.

On merit it should,of course, be Maddinson who,I suspect,will be leaving shortly for the start of the Aussie season. In fact, that gives them a good excuse to omit him.

Franklin has undoubtedly had a negative effect on the team so he had to be dispensed with. He was a high risk appointment initially having had no previous coaching experience. His successor will be a crucial appointment; bit worrying if North is still here to make the call.

Agree but you expect a little bit more from your No3. He's no captain even allowing for the sh!t hand he has been dealt with. Dispense with the captaincy, forget about his bowling and he may revert to the class No 3 he is capable of being.

Definitely. He and we shouldn't see his returns this season as acceptable, not least because we know he has it i him to do a lor better.
