Franklin gone


I would have given him his cards and his coppers at the end of last season. He's been an absolutely disastrous appointment where rather than progressing we have ended up at our lowest point since 1996.

Don't bet on it. The person appointing his successor obviously thinks Maddinson is a good cricketer.

North needs to go as well. The statement seems to give Franklin credit for the final last year and it then goes on to say be was committed.... He fucked off to the 100 for the last two summer's, that isn't commitment to Durham. The statement makes it sound like performances and results have been good. Honestly absolutely delighted he's gone, I have been on here calling for this for over a year now. See who gets the job but North concerns me massively with that statement and some of his contributions to recruitment

I wouldn't read too much into it. Remember it was North who appointed him.
Killeen promoted to Head Coach? Have my doubts about him but I thought team spirit noticeably improved during the RL50. Certainly whoever is appointed should know what the club is all about.
I'd love Divo but is he still involved with the Convicts?

As another competitor for Bostock's job at the ECB drops out of the race, I reckon North thought about the possibility of someone else taking charge and had a 'him or me' epiphany
