Frank Lampard - manager rumours


If he comes it’ll upset the small minded posters on here. The same ones who think Onien is a good centre half and that Cattermole could play.
 
I don't get the sterotype about Lampard in all honesty.

Did a great job at Derby, kept Everton up which even Dyche struggled on a full season, took over a Chelsea team who visibly couldn't give a toss and were under a transfer embargo.

It's not the worst CV to have.
 
Think people need to move past the "he's X number of choice". Thays not me defending the mess they've created, but we all know they wanted Still and it didn't happen. Think a few are getting so wrapped up in rumours they're just guessing. I would expect the club to interview a number of potential candidates. Just because they've been interviewed, doesn't make them the next choice. I bet they've interviewed at least 10. We get it, aye it's been farcical and they shouldn't have let Still drag it on, but it hasn't happened and they've interviewed a few others. Just because someone rules themselves out, doesn't mean they were offered the job.

I have an issue with attracting high profile just for the profile though, I'd prefer a competent manager and I don't think he is one.
