Frank Lampard - manager rumours

I watched an interview the other day with Lampard and he was saying how he tried to sign the following players when he was at chelsea but got ignored...

Haaland
Bellingham
Vinicius JR
Rice

Think there are a few more, but all of these before they were house hold names.

Imagine chelsea now if they'd backed him instead of signing Ziyech and Werner

Did he mention trying to sign any players who turned out to be shit out of interest?

I would hate to think any potential manager decided to have a look at the clubs main fans forum. No matter how good someone might be there are always the neg ferrets.
Could be enough to put a manager off!!
Neg Ferrets 😂
I like that , think I'll use it

He just put the pen to paper and before he signed Speakman mumbled, "you'll have to work with Dodds anarl mind" he said fuck that and walked out the door. Next please.

I personally think they’ve fucked it if it’s Lampard. On a plus surely he wouldn’t come here if he wasn’t backed?
I think its a great appointment personally so therefore cant see it being true.

Would be good for our English core, especially for our central midfielders to develop. The likes of Rigg, Neil and Bellingham would learn loads.

People say he was shite at Everton but the PL is a different beast, Its hard to implement any kind of style and be successful nevermind with a team full of stiff plumbers he had at Everton who were already on the slide.

Done canny at Chelsea first time round finishing 4th and a cup final, they were shocking under him last time in his interim spell but they were a complete basket case, Only Poch in the last month or two managed to put them on the straight and narrow.

It would also elevate our profile again slightly, I would much rather take a punt on him and hope he builds something than some of the dross previously mentioned.

Just look at Chelsea since Lampards first stint… pretty sure we’d all have Potter and Poch regardless of their outcomes. Yet Lampard finished 4th and took them to the FA Cup final. His second stint was god awful mind but who knows.

I think I'm beaten down with it all now like, I could talk myself into it being a good appointment. I think if nowt else he could have Keane-like gravitas.
