Frank Lampard - manager rumours


If the reason he (and others) haven’t signed is because there’s no coach, then whole DOF system is broken. The whole narrative about the necessity of the role is about consistency of style of play etc etc.

It clearly shows what players have little confidence in it (DOF) or him.

Either that or the money is shite

So it's just two people making claims that can't be backed up then. We'll never know why they shortened so significantly before it went viral on social media.

Lampard got to a playoff final, FA cup final, champions league later stages (which they went on to win) got champions league football for a team with a transfer embargo after having sold their best player. People saying his time at derby was a failure is mental. Yes he had a good squad but that was an unbelievably competitive championship. He lost the final 2-1 to villa who had McGinn, Grealish and Tammy Abraham starting.

He wouldn’t be my first choice but he hasn’t been the abject failure people are making out and crucially for me he has got something to prove.

Agree I think the second spell at Chelsea did a lot of damage to his reputation when the club was and still is a basket case of a club. He’s done ok everywhere he’s been really. Not my first choice but given what’s been linked could be best of a bad bunch that’s left.
 
Good manager, average manager or bad manager... he's still got to somehow get a tune out of the dross that Speakman will sign for him this summer.
 
Lampard has done far more in the game than any of the other managers we’ve been linked with. I’d take him over Still, Rosenior, Marti etc. I see could see him having the Roy Keane effect here which he did with the youngsters at Derby.

Lampard would be good. We need a high profile appointment. He will have the utmost respect from all the players. He will be hungry to do well which can only benefit us. I also guess he will be able to attract players to the club. Happy days if true like
