Frank Lampard - manager rumours

Least lampard comes across as a decent bloke and he’s a relatively big name in football. Must say not too impressed with his managerial career so far but i think he would get the fans and understand club. To be honest any manager is fucked unless model changes
He can't organise defences we would be mullered.

Comes across as a cockwomble. Would probably be a disaster. As will anyone else until the model is scrapped. Let's face it with KLD and his cronies our Club looks fucked.
Maybe they will consider changing the model in League One.

I was dead against Frank for a while, but I think we are scraping the barrel now.
He did ok at derby bought in some good younger players on loan, got them as close to the premier league as anyone else for 20 years.

Chelsea went there under a transfer embargo- got them back or made another champions league qualification. Fell apart a bit second season but shouldn’t really of had the job in first place as it was too soon.

Everton- probably only took it as it was in the premier league. It’s a bit of a basket case. Is dyche over performing or did Lampard under perform?

Back to Chelsea which was an unmitigated disaster as caretaker.

So in the championship he has done ok, which ultimately we won’t be challenging upward this season and he can probably keep us in it.

Frank for manager!!!!

Didn’t they have a bust up? I’m not sure if Halford would be the best person to give an opinion of Keane tbh. We all know Keane doesn’t take shit.
It really he took agents advice to go in confident with Keane. Keane took it personal and judged him from that point. Pretty much forced him out of the club.

Be amazed if we were offering enough for him to get out of bed in the morning - not that I’d want him tbh - but genuine question, would he not want as much as someone like Cooper. He’s the absolute perfect one for me.

Mind you I thought O’Neill was.

Lampard was shoe horned into jobs because of who he is, we know that, he was ok in some but shit in others , but think about it. We are approaching 120 days without a Head Coach/manager , on the understanding some who folk think are shit have actually turned us down and we have had, in recent years, Johnson, Beale, Ross and Parkinson. He wouldn't come under this regime anyway.

I wouldn’t be against it tbh.

Wages wouldn't be an issue really. He wants a job, and we are now desperate.
We couldn't afford Roy KEANE. Lampard would want more just to move up here .Local, unemployed ,CHEAP, yes man .Anybody, somebody ? Oh well ,we tried. Back to looking next season. Now, how about a centre forward ,15 to 20 goals on £500 a week. Anybody, somebody ?Oh well,we tried.

He is probably best out of the candidates remaining, though I imagine the issue would more getting him to agree than us. He would probably need assurances as a bad spell here might kill off his career

He’s done ok in reality, look at the absolute circus he walked into at Chelsea and how it’s went since. Did an ok job elsewhere, always comes across canny and unlike Keane seemingly wants back into management and can only have learnt from his experience so far. He’s a well off bloke though and may not fancy the restrictions in place here as I’m not sure he can survive another bombing out.

Is he the right man for the job? Is he the manager/coach we wanted or needed...probably not, but I think when you look back at his record at Derby (massive FFP constraints) and his first stint at Chelsea (transfer ban) he didn't do too badly!

If i'm clutching for positives, he will have some great contacts so this transfer window could be interesting and if players like Neil and Rigg do have ambitions to be top class midfielders, surely playing for one of the best English midfielders in recent years is enough to keep them at the club.

Who am I kidding...we'll be unveiling Dodds won't we?
