Expected this from ryder

If croatia had won it they would just have made more of the story that modric was desperate to sign for them under keegan but ashley pulled the plug, so would have put a toon world cup credit on that

That story has been printed nearly as many times as "benitez was brought in far, far, far too late to have any hope of keeping them up" line in the mag press

Something I posted a few weeks ago still remains true....

"I've never known a set of fans invent stuff to gain some sort of acceptance from other clubs as much the mags do. Everyone's second favourite team etc."
