Founders bar

Worst it’s been in the 7 years I’ve been up there. Had a lick of paint but everything else is worse than ever. Crap food, crap service and can never get a seat.
Really? I’ve had a great afternoon….in fact, should have stopped there for a post match pint rather sheepfolds.

Suppose it depends if you are there every match and realise the decline.
Aye, I’ve been in there for about 11 years bar the one season after we were relegated from the prem…..the place is unrecognisable compared to what it declined to over that period.

Yesterday’s food offering was like 3 Michelin star dining, compared to peak pig slop that was served at the Boxing Day match a couple of seasons ago.

Not a fan of pies and everything else is no better than what you can get from any burger van, with a few bits of sauce on top.
Preferred the spell in between when you could buy food if you wanted it.

Yeah, to be honest that suited us too, as there was so much going on in the town that we just used to use the BCB as a quick pint before if time allowed and one at half time.

But…I really like what they’ve done in 76 Yards and will deffo stay in there next reason as long as they don’t gan radge (even more radge!) with the pricing…..but if you don’t want or like what it gives, then it’s a very expensive option.

76 yards?
Its way way better than when it was bcb.
I still think its a tad overpriced but its excellent.
My food was lovely yesterday, got served straight away for drinks without queuing, bcb queues were a nightmare

So those who left a little bit early will have enjoyed their day
Those who stayed back to clap the team off enjoyed their day
The club had a full house and made money and enjoyed their day
The players won and lived out a dream most of us could never achieve AND got a paid huge amount of money doing it so enjoyed their day aswell .
Where’s the problem 😀

Maybe we've had different luck or something, but my experience of 76 Yards has been much better. Pies are great (steak one yesterday was lovely) and been served at the bar without any issue pretty much all times. Don't tend to get back in for HT so maybe that's different, but no complaints with service.

Agree about seats. Tend to arrive around 2 and it's not easy to get seats, which isn't great as we're in there specifically for my elderly dad to have a bit more time and space. Have always got somewhere so far, but not easy, thinking about trying to get there earlier for better choice of seat.

We get there at 12, so tend to have the pick, although there was a good 20 already in the queue when it opened.

I always go for a window one as love watching the warm up, and the general build up…..but the settees do look inviting :)

12! Haha, that's dedication and getting your moneys worth mate.

What time you do see it properly pick up in terms of busyness? Reckon at, say, half one we'd have a better chance of a seat than 2?

Seemed to really fill up between 1 and 2…..so the earlier the better I’d say, if that’s possible of course.

Not sure if the bottom bar gets as busy as early with it being a bit out the way, so that might be another option.

Walking through to the back toilets, it does seem to fill slower, especially as the back bar seems smaller than it used to be.
