Founders bar

Which other clubs have regular bars for ordinary punters attached right to their stadiums? Genuine question because I don’t know if it’s the norm and therefore we are genuinely offering nowt, or if it’s not even that done a thing anyway and a potential mountain is being made out of a mole hill.

Other than the stewarding, I haven’t got a problem. I pay my season ticket, drink in town then turn up for the match and go back to town. I’m not expecting a red carpet rolled out for me.

Plus, if extra corporate revenue generated means it keeps the cost of season tickets down for the rest of us, I’d take that any day when the rest of my bills are continuously going up.
Spurs not only have a bar they have a brewery in the stadium that supplies thousands of pints for every match, that coupled with bottom filling glasses (ooh er misses) means that there is no waiting to get a pint down your neck.

Other than this new bar what other corporate improvements are being made? Another genuine question because I don’t know off the top of my head. This is clearly a pretty quick win for them given the space is already there and stood vacant after the club shop moved. Most of what people seem to be wanting for improving the general fan areas involves expanding the concourse which is clearly a much bigger job when it would involve knocking down the entire outer brick wall and rebuilding it a few yards back.

I’ve already posted on other threads I think there are some quicker wins that could be explored with improving general fan areas, particular along the North, East and South Stand concourses which need it most. And my suggestion there was more colour and comfort, trying to mimic a bit what the Premier Concourse concourse feels like as it’s much warmer and welcoming up there.
Just discussions of maybe additionsl boxes have took place, recent Quinns update etc. seem way more proactive with these tasks rather than general areas where same issues have remained for years.

I guess its common sense to treat higher paying customers better, I certainly do! 😂

Not many grounds are going to able to match the facilities of them though with what their ground cost. We have the Vaux Brewery taproom just over the road from the stadium tbf.

It’s a bit naive of people expecting the club to create a bar and let Joe Public in for free once a fortnight or so during the season.
It may be just “entry level” corporate with no food, but its income for the club.
I wondered if BCB ticket holders would get moved into this and the club would then start on the BCB changes.

I don't think they could do anything that would attract me to the ground earlier (barring free drink). Much happier supporting local city centre businesses than handing my cash over to the honking company who run the bars in the ground.

Actually, free pints of Carling wouldn't get me there any earlier either.

Will it not be open to normal punters during non-match days?
