Aye its sh*t mate. The clubs stance on people moving from "corporate" (as they see it) to GA is incredibly unfair and I've been waiting for the club to say, "oops, sorry our mistake, of course people trading down can have first dibs on non-renewed season tickets". Sadly that's not going to happen. Really poor stance given the current economic climate. Was thinking about selling someone of the games back to the club to reduce the impact of the increase but, you guessed it, this isn't possible for 'premium experience' fans even though there's nowt special about our seats. I know it's madness but we might renew FB but go to Cooper Rose before the game as the beer is half the price. Literally losing sleep over this decision and the clock is ticking ....
Luckily we moved two seasons ago back into South stand as youngest wanted be in singing section. Was in Quinns for about 5 yrs , and season ticket holder over 20 before that .Miss the padded seats and great view on half way, plus dibs on away tickets which apparently you don’t get anymore !. The price back then didn’t offer value for money. Lack of seating , average food etc.Same position for us as many others too. Been a season ticket holder for twelve years, last six of them in Quinn’s, price has gone up by about £420 for next season making it £2694 each. Over £10,000 for four of us is just ridiculous! They’ve also taken away the option for away tickets, food is average and not enough seats for everyone. Price has gone above our budget so asked if we could potentially swap with someone on the waiting list for Quinn’s, back into general admission or go onto the list to swap when the window opens. Like everyone else it was a clear ‘no’ it’s down to the bottom of the queue you go. Totally understand that if everyone were to renew and there were no seats available, then fair enough, they can’t magic a seat out of nowhere but our account manager has gone on for months about how many people are on the waiting list wanting to upgrade to Quinn’s. If these people were already in GA then moving them into our seats would release theirs. Surely those seats should be offered to people that have already held season tickets for years rather than going to someone who is a new ‘glory supporter’. We’ve been there through all the L1 and Championship games but loyalty counts for nothing. We’ve decided we’re not being bullied into renewing so it’s no more watching Sunderland for us. I hope the club continue to do well and it’s great to see them back in the Premiership but I think they may regret these decisions in the future, if the team struggles again. They are chasing away their loyal fans. So much for them wanting to connect with the identity of this historic club and the working class ethos of the area.
It’s hard to take in. Does that mean you don’t qualify for the loyalty discount too because you now only have 2 years history? Unbelievable! For a while now we’ve thought in Quinn’s that they were trying to push out the real fans so they can sell the tickets to the big businesses who will probably spend more in the bar. Couple of weeks ago there was a table of about 20 and half of them didn’t even go out and watch the game. They’d be nowhere to be seen if they went back down to a lower league.Luckily we moved two seasons ago back into South stand as youngest wanted be in singing section. My gripe is that my entire ST history has been reset to 2 yrs of being in South stand so in the eyes of the club I’m relatively a new fan. Phoned up and ticket office said corporate is classed as a different group and doesn’t count towards your history ?
Incredibly
How can they just delete your st history.Luckily we moved two seasons ago back into South stand as youngest wanted be in singing section. Because they are useless f***ing idiots. How can they just delete your st history.
Especially if you only moved into "corporate" for one season as some did in Founders to try it.
Dont know and they arent bothered to look into it. We were in corporate for about 5 years before moving to south stand two years ago. Before that 20 odd years season ticket holder in various parts of ground as we like to move around. Ticket office could see my corporate history and the two years in south stand only. They said that corporate is a "different group" and does not go towards my history so I only have 2 years.....the same as a newbie fan.How can they just delete your st history.

I'm not bothered about paying an extra £20 per season ticket as you need 3 years in to get full loyalty price , its the loss on over 20 years service mainly watching shite and sitting thru watching Lincoln and Accrington on a shit wet Tuesday night that seems to have been totally forgotting.
Yep again we went to most of the away games in those league one years, mostly out of habit and the feeling of a sense of loyalty when the club was at its lowest. When we moved to south stand it stopped as they never applied any points to our account and we had to start from scratch. It’s hard to take in. Does that mean you don’t qualify for the loyalty discount too because you now only have 2 years history? Unbelievable! For years they’ve said you don’t get black cat points for away games because you’re guaranteed a ticket in corporate, now from next season you need the points but they won’t apply your last 3 years history to your account so only got 6 points. It’s an absolute joke. We nearly moved to GA last season but decided to stay because of the guarantee of away tickets but totally regret it now. Seems to be the more you pay the less you matter!
They've not got the correct history on everyone. It's been said that's down to seat moves but I'm not buying it. They had me and my son down as new season ticket holders for this season, but we moved seats at the start of last season. My nephew also moved with us and his history was fine.Just checked my account , I’ve had the same seats at SOL since the first season but it’s only showing the last 2 seasons as previous history.
Have they had a reset ?
I think that the season ticket waiting list should be ordered by how many games you attended the previous season. This way, the people formerly in corporate would go top of the list by default.
In principle I agree they probably should but the club will have to be careful as you could easy end up with people buying posh seats for a year to jump the queue for normal season tickets. The clubs stance on people moving from "corporate" (as they see it) to GA is incredibly unfair and I've been waiting for the club to say, "oops, sorry our mistake, of course people trading down can have first dibs on non-renewed season tickets". No i don't think anyone is saying that really, as I totally get your point. In principle I agree they probably should but the club will have to be careful as you could easy end up with people buying posh seats for a year to jump the queue for normal season tickets.
