Forthcoming gigs.

How was it?

Very good. The venue is way smaller than it looks in that picture like. He put on his Facebook there was a 100 capacity. Think we were 13 of them

The pub is class, proper traditional country pub, loads of different beers on. I’d guess any locals wouldn’t have been over the moon like, cos it was rammed early on before the doors open.

The gig was typical Ian prowse like, he’s always on top form. Probably Lest We Forget was my favourite like. Opened with that acapella.

Got the Hammersmith Odeon vinyl signed & told him I’d see him next week!

Are you going to Liverpool?

I see Big Andy, the burning hunk of love was there!
I have a ticket for Liverpool next week and should be ok to be there.
Aye, he’s a good looking bloke like!

Wear your red rose pinned to your left breast & I’ll buy you a pint.

Is there any part of Liverpool Academy to sit? Owa lass has had an op recently & whilst she’s gone, standing about for a few hours isn’t ideal for her. Still working out whether to get in for all the support or not. I’m at Man City, driving to Liverpool & checking into the hotel so won’t have a huge amount of time for a few pints first. Not sure I want to dump the bags & head straight in.

I have a similar dilemma. I contacted The Academy to see if they could allocate me a seat in their accessible area and drew a blank. I reckon that I will have to get there sharp to find somewhere to stand (probably upstairs balcony) that minimises the chances of my knee getting bashed.
I always feel for Andy when Prowsey introduces him as he always looks totally embarrassed.

I contacted the academy a couple of months ago & was completely ignored like

Aye, he looked like he wanted the ground to swallow him up last night.

He did say the new record is 3/4 done & said he’d be playing Sunderland next year like. Hopefully the Peacock cos it’s ideal for me to take the bairn.

Was the the co-op live at Manchester on Friday to see a band I had no idea about called Bad Omens (the wife likes so them so I was dragged along). Obviously not my choice of music but thought it was ok but as I said in July after my first visit (ELO), that arena at Manchester is absolutely magnificent mind so so good and it's worth visiting if you get a chance. Stereophonics for us on Saturday at the appalling Newcastle Arena.

just got round to booking flights to see new model army at the melkweg in amsterdam on the 21st december. was supposed to go last year but the tour got curtailed after the drummer needed an operation on his arm.
must've seen them about 100 times over the years but never seen them 'abroad' so looking forward to it.
Great venue

Another good venue was Manchester o2 apollo last night not one bad sight line, slopping floor is excellent
