Forthcoming gigs.

Well, Billy Nomates was good. First time I've seen her with a full(ish) band (drums and bass). Canny craic, in an intimate venue.

Her choice of support was something unexpected (a ballerina / acrobat - no singing, but did have a voice over).

Managed to snap a pic that wasn't nsfw:

Missed the support but Billy No Mates was great, really enjoyed it.

I saw the same show in Manchester last Thursday night and it was my first time for Billy Nomates as the dates on her previous tours haven’t worked for me.
I knew what to expect from the suppport act as I’d seen a review of an earlier gig on the tour. If I hadn’t seen the review I don’t know what I would have made of it.

Bilk last night at Independant.
Seen them a few times over last few years now, like a noisy, heavier early version of Blur.
Decent in such a small venue, but disappointing turnout.
Had much bigger crowds in Newc and Stockton

Magnum at Holmfirth tomorrow night
I was there. Really enjoyed it. Great setlist although thought they`d end with Sacred Hour but did Soldier Of The Line which I was pleased about and Don`t Wake The Lion. Bob`s voice isn`t quite what it was but it was an emotional night remembering Tony Clarkin. Nice venue too.

What’s your thoughts on the new Rush tour?
