Saw The John Martyn Project at the sage on Saturday. 3rd time seeing them and fantastic as ever. They’ve added a date to their UK tour, Sunderland Firestation. I would highly recommend seeing them, even if you aren’t familiar with the music of John Martyn.

@mickb2112 I see FM are touring. Never seen them are they any good live. Definitely fancy catching them
I`ve seen them a few times, quite often as a support band. I usually moan when I see that they are the support act for someone but always end up enjoying them. They`ve got some good tunes and a great singer. It`s decent stuff and I`m pretty sure you`d enjoy them if you went. Brave Rival are on with them and they are canny too.

LCD Soundsystem booked for London in June at Brixton academy
What night are you doing? Friday 20th for me. Proper excited!
Other than LCD Soundsystem, got Ocean Colour Scene in Bournemouth last day of April.

Few weeks later they announced Ocean Colour Scene in Southampton, outdoors gig, 10 minute walk from mine.

Twice in two months is fine by me.

Saturday 21st, I looked to get ocean colour scene tickets in Newcastle on resale but they are ridiculous prices and I've seen them before

Bootleg Blondie tonight. Mary Wallopers a week Monday.

I’m at Supersuckers too. Just bought my ticket. Might be at Pit Pony at Pop Recs two days before that. Think my mate got me a ticket.

Good to see you and Longy Jnr last night mate (and cheers for minding the coats!).

FirsT time I’ve felt the acoustics were off in there - her voice didn’t seem to carry through - but enjoyed it overall as Blondie’s actual catalogue is superb.

Now £6.80 a Moretti and £7.00 a Lucky Saint in Fire Station which has crept up on me.

The sound in there is normally spot on, it got better as it went in.

I enjoyed it, but my honest review was, “Debbie Harry” was great at the mid tempo stuff, but she didn’t give it enough oomph for the faster tracks. Was a bit worried after One Way or Another, cos it was very lethargic. Almost pantomimey. She needed to be giving it six nowt. Then Sunday Girl sounded loads better.

I think at a festival, an hours set would be topper. Filling a two hour set is asking a lot.

It looked like the sound man actually did his job during the interval and I thought it was much better after that. Nice touch with new rose

Aye. We moved from upstairs to downstairs during half time cos we spotted two spare seats just above the floor. So we were in a completely different position for sound.

Aye, New Rose was great. Tried to explain to my daughter what it was all about, don’t think I did a great job explaining the first punk single. She doesn’t know what a single is never mind understanding genres from 50 years ago. I’ll enjoy teaching her though!
