Forthcoming gigs.

Aye my cock up it is tuesday. Still tickets left but I think going there then The Almighty in a fortnights time is pushing it with her indoors
It`ll be my third visit down for a gig over the last few weeks but is the last of the year in Leeds for me but I just couldn`t miss seeing WT again.

They are absolutely outstanding. You really need to check them out. When I saw them a couple of years ago I`d say it was one of the very best arena productions I`d ever seen all back up with great songs.

I like Robert Jon and the Wreck a lot and would have gone to that but it would have been my wife`s birthday so I`m just spending the day with my kids.

Hopefully catch up soon - enjoy Within Temptation

I imagine the birthday will be tough but celebrate the good times - make it as joyous as possible. Will be thinking of you and the family

Casually logged in to the Glasshouse website just now and found that Richard Dawson's gig in May is close to selling out. Martha Wainwright at Fire Station also seems to be shifting fast.

Saw Martin McAloon last night in Leeds, great fun. His voice isn't quite there but he gave a good performance and is an excellent guitarist. Covered all the Sprout numbers you'd want to hear and a few more besides.

I was ready to post something sarcastic about this…

I prefer to log in in a much more formal manner, black tie, stovepipe hat, walking cane etc.
…but was best to it!

I just meant that I hadn't expected such a rush and was an hour later than a lot of people clearly had been!

Last time I saw Richard at the Sage was in the little window of time between lockdowns. We went to an afternoon show at Cluny 2 - Smoove & Turrell - then to Hall 1 at the Sage. I think you could sit with a bubble buddy but there were 3 empty seats between each pair. Mental times.

We were buzzing after the 1st show, felt great to be back to 'normal', then during the brief journey over the river, the albino pubesack announced it was all over for a few more months.

First of all - albino pubesack

Second of all, did you make the second gig?! Or was it all abandoned?!

I nicked it off a news website!

The 2nd gig went ahead as planned because, like many emergency situations in those days, it wasn't going to be an issue until the day after, or next Thursday.
