Great venue but the sound has been atrocious a few times. Dry Cleaning was an absolute mess in there. The sound needs to be impeccable for the her voice and lyrics to be heard. So disappointing. Great place for a few beers though.Making my debut at the Grove next month to see Dream Machine. New venue to tick off the list.
Aye, I remember you saying that. If you’re putting in gigs these days, the minimum you need is good sound.Great venue but the sound has been atrocious a few times. Im not normally too bothered. More about mates and a night out but I love the delivery of the Dry Cleaning singer and it was totally lost.Aye, I remember you saying that. If you’re putting in gigs these days, the minimum you need is good sound.
Hoping for Dream Machine they’re a straight forward guitar & drums band, it’ll sound better. Dry Cleaning is a bit artier where everything will have to be set up a little more sympathetically?
Don't really know owt about Dry Cleaning, but hoping that Eddie Argos, erm, "singing" style shouldn't be hampered too much tomorrow night!Great venue but the sound has been atrocious a few times. Were they on with the charlatans at the city hall last December? Good band if so. Might get ticketsAye, I remember you saying that. If you’re putting in gigs these days, the minimum you need is good sound.

Not sure mate. I know they’ve played Independent not long ago & they supported the Lathums at the Fire Station recently. Were they on with the charlatans at the city hall last December? Good band if so. Might get tickets
I remember them being a bit coral-ish, a real 60's sound( if it was them). Enjoyed them. Not sure mate. I know they’ve played Independent not long ago & they supported the Lathums at the Fire Station recently.
I missed those, so this’ll be my first time seeing them. They’ve got two records out now like.
Aye, probably a bit of a harder sound. They’re from Liverpool like.I remember them being a bit coral-ish, a real 60's sound( if it was them). Enjoyed them.
Very nice venue, albeit possibly the hottest place on earth.Making my debut at the Grove next month to see Dream Machine. New venue to tick off the list.
