No, just unconventional. PJ Harvey is a big fan of the classically trained Mica Levi and probably chose her as the support. She has done some notable film scores. Under The Skin was very good and Jackie was decent too. Have read a lot of comments online that all basically said the same as you. I did enjoy parts of her set. The song Whack has the words "Out Of Whack" so I assume it is supposed to sound disjointed.

Laura Stevenson at a local bar tomorrow (opening for Tim Barry of Avail but we’re there primarily for LS)
Laura Stevenson in Brooklyn on Sunday (opening for Jeff Rosenstock but see above)

Was meant to see Gaslight Anthem on Wednesday in Central Park but got stuck at work :evil:

Clearly Tex - his recall of our youth is uncanny. Plus he managed to lever in a mention of his favourite (and the worst band of all time) King! Whose singer Tex modelled his hair on 😅
LCD were outstanding in London last night. Pixies and Nation of Language class too. Plus it didn’t rain 👍🏽
