Danny Gruff, Dave Giles and Glove Compartment tonight at Gullivers in Manchester. Should have been The Candle Thieves but the singer is ill. Still be a good night though.

We just generally wander round the different stages. I've been going for about five years but can never find a schedule of when bands are on and which stage. As a result it's very much pot luck.

They've moved the stages around this year and it's not as good/comfortable as it was. Gumbo and Vietnamese duck for me - no spuds - can get them at home.

Think I'll give the Rory festival a try next year. Unfortunate clash of dates.
