Been a favourite of mine for a while. Good bar with good staff, always a nice atmosphere.
Elsewhere…
The revamped Academy is great,
and the new Grove has the makings of another good venue (400 max)
On the micro side, The Little Buildings is very quirky for a 50 capacity, intimate! You can watch a live stream from the bar tho.

Exactly the same for me. Back in 1979 my Dad said that I`d never still be listening to this rubbish in 10 years time........he had to concede 10 years later and bought me Hot In The Shade on CD. He grew to like some of the songs like Under The Rose, World Without Heroes and Beth.

Took me 1 hour 45 to get a taxi. I flagged down a couple and the robbing fuckers wanted £40 for a journey that I paid £7 for on the way there!!

I stopped drinking just before AM came on stage, and was canny fortunate that my round fell when the pitch side cans were still cold. Toilets were a nightmare, blokes was full of lasses as theirs were too full.

Cornerstone was class to start off with, 1st time they’ve ever done that.

The Hives were excellent as well

Same here mate. Didn’t get another drink after AM came on. Some scruffy bastard next to me hoyed a cup of piss forward like, few people around him told him he was a dick like.
