You built up a good relationship then they sold out to someone else 10 days before you were due to move in? How does that work?

I negotiated Avant paying 5% deposit (£15000) and they said somebody walked off the street and offered full asking price, which they accepted.
Rang me and told me said it was out of there hands.
Complained to North East Director.
The sale fell through and they came back cap in hand, offering all kinds for us to continue with the sale, my Mrs to them go F off

Used to be 12ft in uk but all metric now as far as i know . Most of the outside stuff comes in from the continent Belgium etc . When i was in the trade ( many years ago admittedly ) i dont recall american import .
Of course they will want measure to price but if its roll stock they would be able to do that ( too an agreed tolerance) from plans . If they want the business that is . Obviously they wouldnt cut until check measured .

To be honest it's nearly 30years since I was in it in the UK.
