Playing at Worcester today and looking like a belting game!

Lancs got 229-4
Worcester are 116-2 off 11.

Flintoffs only over thus far cost 15.

Edit - he's taken a wicket. 1.4 - 23 - 1

t20 game? who got lancs runs?

What? He's on £50k per wicket? No wonder they've not been picking him
No, that's roughly he's probably pocketed through his 'fees' and the £1 he's been getting for every ticket sold for Lancs t20 games without even playing.

Makes you wonder why it took him so long to come back. He had an op at the end of 2009 and planned to come back and play T20 cricket only. Seems about 3 years too late (assuming he needed 12 months or so to recover from the op)

could he, just thinking, come back in an ashes series to haunt the aussies again? i know before anyone starts

He wanted to become the white Amir Khan

According to interview on 5Live few weeks back....
He has had four operations on knee and doctor advised against. But he did some coaching and net sessions with their youth teams and it went ok. Spoke to coaches and physio and decided to gve it a go because he would have regretted not doing so. Says he just wanted to play for Lancs again and has missed being in and around team. For their part, Lancashire get publicity and more bums on seats.

Flintoff had a fair few sponsorship deals after the 2009 Ashes mate. Sponsors on the bandwagon thought he would make it into the big time. He even got a freebie to live in Dubai.

When it did not happen for him the sponsors and money dried up- hence this current deal.

I find that hard to believe, Lancashire don't really need him from a playing perspective (if he was at past levels he'd have played before now) and I doubt he's putting many bums on seats.
