Wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't going to be available all along. Clear from the start this was done to boost flagging ticket sales.

Exactly what I thought as well. T20 is harder work than normal cricket because of the pace. Flintoff's knees wouldn't stand up to it.
 
I heard that from the moment he made himself available he gets a quid for every T20 ticket Lancashire sell. Nice little number that if they can get 10-12k through the door.

This wouldn't surprise me. Lancs drum up some much needed interest and Flintoff gets a tidy earner for a couple of nice paced games for St Anne's.
 
The whole circus surrounding this return is cringey as fuck. I mean SSN covering club games that he's playing in..... :rolleyes:. If they showed that much interest to the rest of cricket their coverage but be top notch. As it is the first class game only gets a few minutes here and there and a televised game at either end of the season if we're lucky.
