You mean you're certain your perception is that its flat and motionless thats the way it is for everyone but no one actually believes in the flat earth dome theory, people are just on a wind up. Its like saying maths doesnt exist and refusing to listen to reason that it does, flat earthers are on a wind up.

'My perception' does seem to be the key factor for Flattards. When cruising on a plane, you can not feel the forward motion, perhaps just a bit of up and down turbulence. Usually you are doing about 550 mph but you don't perceive it because there is no force acting on you. 30 mph downhill on a bike can feel a lot faster.

For some reason, a small group of people think that the spin of the earth should feel like being on a waltzer.

I wonder how they explain that you can see the stars spin above you? Or do they believe that the disc spins?

Anyhoo, regardless of whether it's flat, square or whatever, can't see what major difference it is going to make to the average Joe.

Anyone who genuinely believes the Earth is flat is borderline mentally ill or has an IQ similar to a pot plant.

Well if anyone is actually in this camp (and I wouldn’t put it past some of the knackers on here), it’s easy to prove it yourself. Just stick a decent camera on a tripod, point at the stars and give it an exposure of a few minutes.

Why are all other planets spherical except Earth?

Do you believe the Sun and Moon rotate round the Earth if we get daylight and if so why is it always light somewhere and dark somewhere else at and given moment?
 
I bet nobody has ever met anybody that thinks the earth is flat, all these flat earth conspiracies are there just to make things like the true 9/11, 7/7, moon landings stuff and other things the govt's want to cover up sound ridiculous. They put the flat earth conspiracies in with them

I've asked that many times, the question is always ignored. Probably because we can observe the moon and some of the other planets being globular.

It has been interesting learning about conspiracy theories and the people who follow them. They always latch on to something the average person can't prove, which is why space features so heavily. While you can look at the overwhelming evidence and deduce that the world has to be a globe, until you get in a space craft and fly far enough away, you can't see it for yourself. To date, only a few tourists have actually done that, but they have been labelled as liars who didn't really go and are one of 'them'. It is safe ground for them, because nobody can push their face into anything and say 'look stupid', it takes a bit of explaining which they don't listen to - because they are morons.

I manage someone who is a bit like that. He is not crazy enough to believe in stuff like a flat earth or fake moon landings, but keeps coming out with all sorts of rubbish. For example he will claim that senior management is asking for something, a major change to our roles is coming or he has inside information why a project my team has nothing to do with is going to derail and spell disaster. It is always something really bad that he sits and moans on an on about. When challenged, he smiles and says 'I guess I have more information and better sources than you, even though you are one of the management'. So far, not one of the claims he has moaned or got stressed about seems to have any substance and after a few weeks he either denies all knowledge or says he made them change their minds.

I think there is a mentality or form of mental illness around where people want to be worried and have something to moan about, so they make shit up. Probably not knowingly, almost a form or paranoia. See above "What else are you being lied to about?". I'm more and more convinced @parm is pretending to be thick as mince (for reasons unknown), but there are people out there who think that every government in the world, despite having conflicts on many many things, are all in it together with major companies just to keep the population in the dark. It has been running for hundreds of years (mostly led by NASA), nobody has spilled the beans and for no apparent reason, only that they can.
