I wonder if anyone can help.
I'm following up on a request that was made by Neil Mearns, 5 Barton Court , Seaburn Dene on behalf of Seaburn Celtic.
He is looking to arrange fixtures for the U-14's inside the Sunderland boundaries.
I'm a tad late with this so no problem if anyone is unable to respond.
Just for information it was in the 1967 Edition of Charles Buchan's Football Monthly ( which features a squad photo of the Sunderland team)

No. This was John Dillon, a Scottish left winger from Coatbridge. His finest performance for Sunderland was in the famous FA Cup Sixth Round game at Roker Park against "the team of all talents" Tottenham Hotspur. John was eventually replaced in the side by George Mulhall. In his later years he was also in part responsible for bringing the mercurial Kieron Brady to SAFC. John was a lovely gentleman. In his final years he used to come down from Scotland with his daughter to watch us. I sat next to him at games. He had some fantastic SAFC stories.
