I remember a few years back Leek Town played 5 midweek games the last week of the season. The last game they had literally 11 players and no subs!

Old gits like me and @Jack Ford will remember the Leatherhead FA Cup run from the 1970's. They actually ended up playing 2 games the same night. One was against Slough Town. They were allowed to sign extra players and signed Windsor's fiest team on loan so in effect it was Slough Town v Windsor, a local Derby.

If this crap weather continues, there's likely to be games postponed to make the fixture congestion even worse.

They've only got 6 league games left and they probably only need 3 points to stay up. They can target individual games.

What level do you have to get rid of a plastic pitch? Is it National League?
It's seems bizarre they aren't allowed in the football league. Most of the Scottish league have them, there's less games postponed and the clubs make a side income renting the pitch out every night to local teams to train on.

I frequently remember playing 4 games a week at the end of seasons to get the league finished. Turning up with 8 men, getting tonked, repeat the following night.

Plastic pitches are a no-brainer, especially the new hybrid ones, and they should also be able to make income from them by leasing them out when not in use.

Truro were playing at Plymouth Parkway for most of the season, then because of waterlogging and a backlog of fixtures for both clubs they were forced to move to Taunton - same problem occurs. Now playing at Gloucester who play in National League North! When fixtures clash which is happening a lot Gloucester play at 1pm on a Saturday afternoon then Truro play at same venue at 5.30pm, seems that it is a bit of a shambles especially as Truro have a near on 400 mile round trip for home games!
