I f***ing give up, jack brooks has had a better season than plunkett ffs. And chris woakes ahead of stokes is just laughable

So it looks like

Cook
Robson
Root
Bell
Ballance
Ali
Prior
Jordan
Broad
Plunkett
Anderson

Not too sure about that side to be honest!

You are wrong about Plunkett and Brooks like. Brooks is nowhere near international class, but plunkett can bowl FAST and he will be brought in to bowl short spells. Plunkett is an excellent pick.

Woakes has much better county stats than Stokes, but they aren't comparable.

No-one will ever convince me Woakes should be near the squad

He is the typical county player who can bowl and bit a bit, but doesn't have that edge

The ECB like no other organisation has favourites and sticks to it.

Woakes's bowling is not Test standard. Again, like Plunkett, he is in there for his batting.

How can you say Plunkett is in there for batting?

He really isn't, he has been picked because he is bowling 90+ mph in short, sharp spells.

That is why he has been picked.

Reeto marra, the fact he scored a century for the Lions and looked tidy with the bat for Yorks is pure coincidence.

Jimmy aside, the team is full of bowlers who can put bat to ball....because our batting is weak.

That's my opinion, you are entitled to yours.

He can obviously bat, but he is bowled the fastest spells in the county championship this year, main reason he has been picked IMO, he is a frontline bowler Plunkett to be fair.

No complaints about the bowling attack theyve gone with but that batting line up is one paced, one dimensional and dull.

Prior aside (who has been out of form in Test cricket for a while now) there is very little in the way of aggression in the top seven.

It looks like the final 11 will be as follows with Plunkett missing out.Cant believe they have picked him.Talk about going back to the future?
COOK
ROBSON
ROOT
BELL
BALLANCE
MOEEN ALI
PRIOR
WOAKES (IN FOR STOKES WHO IS STILL RECOVERING FROM INJURY)
BROAD
JORDAN
ANDERSON

WOAKES WILL MISS OUT.......

I know its early days and is opinion based only, but Moores like the first time is so far our of his depth when it comes to international cricket its scary. I imagine after a walloping in the 2015 Ashes we will revert back to someone like Gary Kirsten

There is no chance Woakes will play man

Ali has taken Stoke's place, he is now the all rounder, and Plunkett will replace the missing spinner.

Bit early like but the early signs in the ODI stuff wasn't good like

Yep couldn't agree more about the batting. Although they say Ballance is positive, just think he is struggling to express that in international stuff so far.

I agree this will be the side. Happy for them to be giving the new players they've chosen a chance and if Plunkett has been the fastest bowler in the CC then fair play I think we need to stop going in with just 80-85 mph bowlers. Root and Prior worry me, Prior had been awful for 12 months before he was dropped and Root hangs back so far against the quicker bowlers he just looks like he's a wicket waiting to happen.

Hello mate. Well done on calling Jordan way before anyone else.

Quite funny really. We are desperately short of runs and KP, Stokes and Carberry our 3 biggest run scorers over there are all left out
