More grim reading re England’s batting:

Have lost all their wickets in one session (not innings) 4 times since 2016. Prior to 20-6 it happened once in 78 years.

Only 3 players in squad have first class average average of 40 vs 7 players in 2013

Had 18 different openers since 2012

Note I obviously will be delighted if England manage it but I can’t get my head round people saying it’s probable at all given the actual evidence available around how this team play in pressure conditions, or even in good ones

Couple of interesting stats re: individuals that I read on Saturday. Bairstow averages 23 in tests since the start of the 2018 summer and Moeen averages 13 across all formats in 2019!

Didnt go anywhere, got caught. Really poor shot, or non shot.
