Joe Denley had to be the worst 4 in England history. Jesus...

Mad how Bancrofts got a gig opening for the aussies when the bloke has had such an iffy season for Durham in 4 day cricket imo

What aspect dont you trust? Height and direction of travel will be pretty much spot on as all it does it predict how the ball will continue on its travels. For height the ball wont suddenly drop like a stone or suddenly spike, so will obviously just follow the line its heading before it hits bat/pad etc. Same with spin. Its not as if it is predicting where the ball will go before it pitches.

There will always be an element of doubt. However, it is a lot more reliable than the human eye which has to process three different aspects in an instant before making a decision. And that's taking the responsibility of checking for a no ball out of the equation! I'm sure that Hawkeye and its competitors will continue to be developed to be as accurate as it can be.

Had to come out of the house. Got TMS on in the car. Vaughan is trying to defend Warner saying he should be allowed to bat where he wants as it's only the 1st day.

Oh and Jim Maxwell is getting on my tits already
