Sorry if this has been covered, had a quick scan and couldn't see anything. I was wondering why we have let his contract expire before offering him another. Had we previously offered one that he turned down or something else ?

He's only now at the age where he can sign one.

He will have been offered it ages ago same as all the young lads who got offered their pro deals

Would be sceptical, I think Copley has been drip feeding these stories the last week but I expect decisions and talks will have started long ago. It’s poor in general Finn isn’t tied down, I expected it when he turned 17. Might be he can sign a longer deal now turned 18 then just the 3 years.

Correct. Can only sign a 3 year deal at 17

Generally do too. However Ghisolfi has been pretty first team centric to date - at least outwardly. And we are about to lose our Academy manager with no word yet of a replacement, which is a slight red flag in my view. Geragusian has been earmarked as the standout from that generation for at least the last 18 months. We shouldn’t have let this get this far down the line imo.

We won't mess around mate, we'll bring in better, I have no doubt.

Don’t worry.
There are some really good young players coming through — the likes of Scott, Hunt, Lienard, and even Trey’s brother (only 14 years old) is one to watch.
They’ll find a strong replacement for the academy manager, just like we did with RLB. It took months, but we made the right choice in the end.
