Finn Geragusian

He travelled with the first team squad to one of our recent away games too iirc. Clearly getting him used to being amongst it.

Cracking stuff. I suppose one of the (small albeit) caveats of being in the PL is its now tough for our young lads to break through and they really need to be the real deal to step up.

I know we need to pursue the european spots but I sincerely hope RLB uses our new found security to start drip feeding time to the younger lads + get Rigg back in

I believe there's around £2M for every position up the league table, so there's money at stake and an outside chance of Europe, but RLB seems to find a way regardless of what players are at his disposal. As you say Rigg needs minutes for development to this level and likes of Isidor to show he can actually find a way to fit in and be productive. Aleksic another who's been back in the mix and who I personally wouldn't write off.

Yes, I saw that they took Aleksic down to Elland Road with them, which is good to see, clearly he’s still in the picture, still only 20 as well. I saw some people being cynical about his move to Cracovia and was worried he’d been consigned with the likes of Pembele Ba Aochiche

Few training vids with him and Xhaka together. Not sure about his future but only young so shouldn't be discarded. Would be nice to see him get on for a run out at the end of the game tomorrow.

Does he press defenders and hold the ball up? If he does I’d start him tomorrow as Isidor and Mayenda are pathetic at that

He spells it -ian.

At the risk of being boring, not that this is uncommon for me, it’s likely to be spelt Geragusyan In Armenia itself although he spells it -ian.

Basically, there’s two main dialects of Armenian. One they speak in Armenian itself (Eastern) and the one most people speak in the large Armenian diaspora (Western). Western Armenian-speaking people nearly always spell their surname in English with the ending -ian (like my missus’ family).

See, told you I was boring.
So does that explain why the Kardashians are based in the US but Mkhitaryan was born in Yerevan?

Aleksic certainly has the right build for the position. The timing of his signing hasn't really been ideal for him in hindsight.

Yes, that’s why, ostensibly. I mean, obviously the Armenians have their own rather beautiful alphabet (devised by a chap called Mashtots in the early fifth century, for you boring Armenian fact fans!).

But they also sporadically use the Roman alphabet too. The Armenians in Armenia just just use -yan when they write names that way. Just the way it’s always been. No hard and fast rule though.

Things are tough there right now. Surrounded by hostile nations and on the periphery of what’s going on there. Strangely, they have good relations with Iran, despite them being a 98% Christian country. Lots of ethnic Armenians live in Iran and they actually get on with the ethnic Iranians on the whole and aren’t persecuted as they have been in other countries (see Turkey, Azerbaijan). Iran’s problems may give the Azeris an opportunity to invade. Worrying times.

Anyway. Back to football (!). Do hope we see Finn tomorrow. I’m intrigued to see how he’ll get on if so.

That’s why we should play him against a League 1 team.

It puts him in the window.

What harm can it do?
We should be going strong as possible. He played last night anyway, so it’s a moot point him starting.
I've seen a few of his games. No where near championship level. Always difficult to tell if his current physical advantage in youth matches will transfer to mens game.
Yes. Hence why I’ve said league one first.

We’ve got posters saying he should start for us tomorrow

Least boring thing I’ve read today
