Yeah I remember reading about that when I started watching the tv show.
 
The Mothman prophecies claims to be based on a true story. If you check the online accounts of newspapers they mention the sightings around the time of the bridge tragedy.

unfortunately those newspaper reports only emerged on the internet around the time of the fillum being released..

I saw that when it came out, really enjoyed it. I always did wonder about it being a true story as its quite far fetched.
 
I thought The Bank Job was canny even though I can’t stand Statham. It sparked off a distant memory of my childhood and hearing about Lloyd’s bank being robbed.

The bit about stashing porn pics of Princess Margaret in the safety deposit boxes for blackmail may or may not have been based on facts but was an interesting twist either way.
