Fiji & Samoa Recommendations

Hello lads

I will be in Fiji and later Samoa in April

Any recommendations on things to see / eat etc.
Fiji is an interesting cultural mix. Never been to Samoa

Mana Island - a bit of a gap year tourist trap but lots of fun was had.

Nadi - nothing of any interest IIRC

Natadola, Malomalo and Cuvu - deserted beaches but not much to do apart from swim, sunbathe or scuba (with dangerous equipment)

Suva - biggest town with more to do (especially if you like Indian bait)

Only trouble is, it was 1999 last time I was there 🤣

the Fugees as we used to call them in our Battalion , 99% were cracking lads, love their Rugby, Religion singing and drinking, if they offer you a brew called "Grogg" politely refuse, from what I can remember its made from tree roots, its like a wierd medicinal trippy drink that tastes like shit and ***** you out , I was man down all night throwing my ring up, not good,

get out to the Mamanuca Islands when in Fiji. you can get a boat out from Denarau. there's a few resorts with golf courses around Denerau if you're into that sort of thing as well.

To Sua Ocean trench on the South coast of Samoa was a cool spot. They have a lifeguard in the water on one side to stop you being sucked down the channel and spat out into the ocean.
