I was leaving Block L18 West Stand when I saw a lad heading past me shouting at LJ to walk away. I didn’t see LJ’s response. I just thought the lad was quite emotional and somewhat OTT as l thought we were unlucky not to win. I’m not sure what LJ could have done about us hitting the woodwork twice.
Yeah that's the thing I can't work out why this irate fan would choose Saturday to go OTT and start shouting stuff at LJ like that.

That’s not right at all. Players and managers get stick every week at clubs up and down the country but they don’t all go sticking two fingers up at the fans. They are expected to conduct themselves in a certain way. Yes they are only human and you could argue hard not to react but ultimately fans pay the payers and managers wages and when things aren’t going well are entitled to voice their opinions. That’s why what eric cantona did was completely unacceptable when he kicked a fan.
Good job he doesn't read all your threads/posts. Think his fingers wouldn't be stuck up at you but more in your eyes like a laurel and Hardy sketch ya miserable get.

By all means have a go at the Manager (or players) at the end if you like... but don't be surprised if you get a gesture back like the one you did.

But to go to the local media and acting like a hysterical pre-pubescent lass is just embarrassing. I understand he's upset and wants LJ out but there's no excuse for all this faux-outrage. If he's genuinely offended by something like that then I don't know how he watches the news at night without his head spinning right off his shoulders.

Get a grip, feller.

No it shows LJ knows he’s on borrowed time and has no future at a club like this.

I expect LJ to issue a full public apology to big D.Disgraceful behaviour a manager giving his own fans the fingers. Can’t believe you lot sticking up for the fucker.

He’s not on here .
Stop talking bollocks. Give it, expect to get it.

Glad you chomped though. Thanks

It's another example of people reacting with their phone before just taking it in themselves. Not everything needs filming. Just be part of the moment.
What would filming it solve?

Well my initial thought was it’d solve the energy crisis and world hunger. Call me a dreamer if you like.

What does filming or photographing anything solve? I thought it might be interesting what’d unfold.

Yes I was there. And if I had any idea how to post a video from my phone I could not only show I was there, I could show the next bit of the footage after the fella marched down from seat after the initial V flick. The next bit shows a similar hand gesture though it is less clear than the original one.

I don’t think the video would change anyones minds on this anyway. There are those who think Johnson was within his rights to do it, there are those who think it wasnt professional. Im the latter rather than the former. That doesn’t mean the bloke didn’t overreact by marching down to the front or by phoning the radio.

That’s pretty much been my take on this throughout and have only ever described the incident beyond that.
Post it on twitter, its really easy. I am sure there are twitter readers on here who would then post here

Post it on twitter or Facebook if you subscribe. Its really easy and would clear up any argument, even the club would see it.

In any other walk of entertainment (from a band in pub to the opera) if you are serve up shite - you've got to expect some stick.
If you are paying £20/30/40 a ticket plus travel costs and stuck on a sweaty, overcrowded COVID laden train for a couple of hours and then have to endure whats been served up I think you've got every right to complain.

And if you heckle a comedian, you're likely to get a swift putdown coming back it you. Is that unacceptable as well? There are a lot of people demonstrating total double standards here.

The thing is there is 7 clubs who expect to go up, 3 will go up and be a success 4 will fail and will almost certainly get the sack. Excited to see who we sign in the window, since we wont have much left on the wage budget for the FFP The signing we make will have to be of paramount importance. I would go for a CM enforcer big and strong, though there are many places that need sorting out.

Double standards……you’re a fine one. Have you stopped polishing Donald’s Cheb end?

What phone have you got then? We can give step by step instructions to help :)
