Fan at the end with johnson

Two points off top, game in hand (yes we need to win it), massive injury crisis and in the Quarter Final of the League Cup.

Doing a better job than most of our fan base make out imo.

Yes I'll receive criticism for this.

Today's boos and abuse is uncalled for. We dominated game, hit woodwork twice and an individual error from Gooch cost us two points.
How dare you speak sense

I listened to the whole conversation on the way home from the match. My first thought was, why did you say it? If anyone was at work and someone said to you just get out of the place you would probably react. Maybe in the heat of the moment LJ just had enough of negative critisism and decided to respond. Not something I would condone, but understandable. I appreciate that there is some frustration with the way things are going, but we have no divine right to brush every team apart, and we are currently in a decent position, although we would all like it to be better. I think that the caller was wrong to speak to LJ in that way, LJ was wrong to react that way, but hey, let's get on with supporting the team and look to Tuesday. Going on the radio to show displeasure was wroung and divisive. Onwards and upwards.

I get why some people aren't keen on Johnson but like I've said before..
What is the realistic alternative?
The emphasis on being realistic.
Not saying he should necessarily go, but I never understand this thing where people assume fans should be able to name a replacement.

Firstly we don't know who is realistic. Last time Poyet was close to being appointed but if someone had suggested him prior to Parkinson going they'd have been laughed at and told it wasn't a realistic shout.

But equally, it's a head coach role. There's no need for it to be someone vastly experienced (if you've got years of experience and you're still managing in league one you're probably a bit shit). A young coach who is tactically aware and a good motivator could do a cracking job. They might never have had a head coach role before so no one would be able to name them. You'd hope with Speakman and maybe even KLD's contacts, however, they might know someone who fits that bill. That's their job and they're the ones who should know, not us.

As for this incident, Johnson probably shouldn't be giving the fingers but if the fan gives it out they've got to expect a bit back.

We must’ve watched different games.

They dominated for 25 minutes in the first half and that was it.
They controlled the game for longer periods, passed the ball. We continually punted it up to Stewart, every ball was a 50/50 - obviously some of them we won but it's not a way of playing that's going to get us out of this league.
