F1 2026

Good to see Lewis running closer to the front.

A good start from Ferrari and who knows what’s possible.

I still think Mercedes top speed will decide the race.
Yeah, its hard to race against 4-5 tenths a lap.

Expect LH to lead the race from the 1st lap. Russell will then blast past him and win the race at a canter. Hamilton will do well to get on the podium.

Hahaha lovely to see Max fighting his car in midfield. Not the same when its not on rails is it? Daft lad.

For the majority of the time in F1 you have a dominant car. But when you are only dominant in a straight line just doesn’t feel the same. The W11 was one of the greatest ever f1 cars but that was incredible to watch it get thrown around each and every corner on the absolute limit. Watching George go 10-15mph faster than everyone in a straight line just isn’t fun

I noticed that this morning. I was confused because it sounded like the car was slowing down but the speed stayed perfectly steady at 325

not something i'm gonna get excited about, the upset is likely just a 2026 armchair fan thing about the state of f1 in this new era... i think comments were turned off on posts on one platform or another after the aussie gp which stopped people slagging off the new power units.

bernie wasnt built for this era, but a little bit of me would like to see how he'd run the circus in this digital engaged era when his word was "THE WORD".

W11 was at the start of the Hybrid era?
The reason that car was so planted WAS because of the engine. They had so much extra power, they could crank loads more downforce on the car and not lose top end speed.

McLaren with a nice step from Melbourne. Car is still heavy and they're learning about the PU every time they run the car. Get that weight off, optimise the deployment and a nice upgrade on the way and the greatest of British teams will stop this Jorman juggernaut in it's tracks. Herr Wolff will be getting a hiding. Up the Brits.

Said it before, but aside from the badge and the name on the cheques, there's nowt German about the Mercedes F1 team.
Top manager is Austrian
Engine production line was bought from Ilmore, British
Car is designed & built in England, by Brits

W11 was the penultimate year before the ground effect . By that point other engines had massively reduced the performance difference seen from 2014 onwards. The key to the W11 was the insane aero and the rear suspension gave it incredible grip.

I stand corrected then, ta.
