Expectations for 26/27 season

Improve our xG because we all know by now that is how games are won and lost.

But in all seriousness I'd love for us to build squad depth and fight on all fronts next season. Would be nice to get midtable again, but I'd accept 15th quite happily if it meant getting to a cup final and winning some silverware.

Hopefully go into the season with the majority of the squad still here. Our young players continue to develop and improve. 2 or 3 good signings in the summer to add to squad depth. Rigg comes of age. Finish 7-12 and have a real good go at the cups.

Similar to this one, let our players develop, and a decent cup run. Mid table few seasons and let us become a mainstay and a run in europe
This 100%, Rome wasn’t built in a day etc etc. I’d prefer expectations in 5 years to be 6th consecutive season, no real drama, good cup runs here and there, couple of European adventures along the way, and watching decent football from us week in and week out.

Craft ir cask beer available in the SOL and more vegan and vape options.
Controlled smoke bombs.

Upper mid table with consistency over the year
See genuine improvements in squad depth, at least 4 usuable first 11 additions, with a Xhaka understudy in place
SOL a fortress even against the top 4 and a few exciting wins at big teams
Unbeaten against the Mags
Day out at Wembley would be the cherry on top ,win or lose. even in the MM cup ( win for best obs)

I think that's basically our natural position as a club of our history and size, in and around top 10 and cup runs.

Xhaka retires
Roefs, Sadiki and Le Fee sold
RLB sacked after 5 games
Beale returns
Relegated on 0 points

Or that

The signs are good. We have ambitious owners and a recruitment team who can pick out a very good player.

We have done well this season with a young squad who will get better with experience and with a few more additions in the summer I'm going to believe we have finally got our act together.

For me, aim should always be to improve on season before. So depending on how this ends, next season would be aim for top 10. If we finished 9th or 10th, aim for Europe etc.

A good start to next season to build more confidence. A top 10 finish, and a cup run that sees take it much more seriously than we did at Port Vale.

6 points (or even 4) against them lot to keep us top dogs for yet another season.

Finish comfortably outside bottom 6
Fashion à way to play when Xhaka is absent, as he is bound to be given he will be 35 next season. We have looked awful when he is not available, and this is responsibility of coaching.
Ghisolfi has a part in finding an X factor player out there, however something inside tells me both Talbi and Rigg will come into their own next season.
No more round pegs in square holes. Playing RB at LB or CM needs to cease. It was our first season back so we have an excuse. Next season we don’t.

If by miracle we get into the Conf League then that takes priority for me as it's massively winnable. Finish 17th and have a full crack at that would be the dream....however we'll probs finish 12th this season so more of the same next. Keep building and more of the same
