I have a spreadsheet with 957 lines in it

I want to add the same text to each line underneath each entry at the following numbered intervals

3-4
7-8
11-12
15-16
19-20
23-24

etc

I want to add to the columns without pasting over the text that is originally entered.

Copy
Highlight the 957 lines
Right click the mouse
Paste as value

In the cell to the right of the original enter

=A1 & CHAR(13) & “New text to add”

Change a1 to the correct cell reference. You can then hide the original column.

Not sure what you mean about adding at intervals tho but if it’s the same interval that’d be easy.

I don't know how to write a macro that's why I am asking on here
Apologies, I was being flippant with my macro response. When reading your post it just reminded me of a Commercial VP I used to work for years ago, whom seemed to think that any file or function we created in excel could be easily delivered within minutes, regardless of complexity, by "just writing a macro".

I do like your response however that suggests, that while you don't know how to write a macro, you know how to "format the fucker". That's the power of the SMB that.
