I know it’s getting ahead of myself and still don’t know who we’re going to play. But how much do people think it will cost for each away trip? I’m thinking it could be £400-£500 each game like
Doubt you’ll have much change from a thousand tbh
Back in the day following England you could bring a suitcase full of cigs back and make a profit on the entire trip, not that I did it...
Jumpers for goalposts etc

My mate was at the Villa final last week, cost him £540 return flight and he booked that the week before but reckons he got hotel £35 a night and there was loads of places to stay for around that. Depends where ya go really.

However, think of the extra money that will be coming into the City
Thursday night, 4 home games, full house for the club but tourists, full hotels, full pubs and restaurants. This is a huge economic boost for the city

Depends if you want a good sup or not.

If you want a good sup then it'll likely cost you a canny wedge.

If not, then fly to an airport slightly further away, hire a car and drive back after to a cheaper hotel. Probably save you a couple hundred quid because as soon as we know the dates for where we are playing, the prices for flights will likely jump quite a bit, as will hotels within 15 miles of the ground.
Depending where I’m going to do that. Make a week or fortnight of it. Or trains from nearby cities. I’ve zero chance of a ticket but possibly in with home fans depending on who we are playing.

If we have a tourism lead for the city, if they are smart they would be latching onto this and when the games are announced advertising reduced rates to those teams fan groups etc and giving more info about the city and local area to them etc.

Otherwise most will just book in Newcastle I’d imagine

The flight prices will go through the roof for our away games. My advice would be go from Edinburgh or Leeds.

100% this. They should be planning when the offices open tomorrow. This is going to be massive for the city

Or, Teeside depending who we get

Actually asked a Palace friend of mine this yesterday, he reckons it’ll be just over 10k including Leipzig all in.

He gets match tickets, so you’ll have to factor that in. And he’s tried to do some of them cheaper by gambling on hotels, flight tickets etc. the round before (like for the final)

Also he’d be flying from London, which is cheaper than the NE I’d guess?

Although he said he knows some Palace fans who have spent 2k per game. But surely that’s mostly on gear and lasses like, dunno how you spend that much in Eastern Europe etc. otherwise.

Minimum 4 away games. Obviously you want the more exotic destinations but Western Europe will have more 'cheat' routes where you can fly to a city close by for cheaper and get a train

could even get the overnight ferry if we draw a Dutch side
If you’re happy with the ferry you could probably get the train on from Holland to a few countries like Germany Belgium etc as well
