I was talking to one of the old boys when I was out earlier. He doesn't attend, but his neighbour does. The neighbour is apparently saying he doesn't want Europe.

He's got about 30 years on me so will have seen a great deal more. I've seen enough relegations to know it'll probably happen again, so why not have a European campaign? It's the absolute chance of a lifetime, I can't actually believe people don't want it as it's a distraction! A distraction from what? Keep finishing mid table? Let's get carried away man.

Winning the league is never gonna happen.

Winning a European competition is shown to be more likely how PL sides are performing in them. You can't win something if you're not in the competition.

They've made a mockery of the League Cup and the FA Cup. So surely it's the most prestigious thing we can win that still carries weight.

I'd of course love to win either domestic cup. But we had a chance in that again this season and blew it.

Why anyone wants us to blow something again this weekend is baffling.

First game, and knockouts probably. But not the others - or anywhere close, but then again I don't think many teams do? Palace certainly didn't.
