Europa or Conference League

For Europa League the Premier League qualifiers go straight into the League Phase.

For Conference League the Premier League qualifier has to get through a knockout round to get to the League Phase.

In the Europa League Phase a team will play eight games.

In the Conference League Phase a team will play six games - however, as they would have already played a two legged knockout round it effectively is eight games for teams in the League Phase.
Against absolute minnows which could easily be part of our normal pre season matches.

Yes, they've had difficult seasons - but how much of it was down to the carcrash decisions over managerial appointments?
We are (potentially) in a much more stable position.
You may be right.

I'll be delighted if we beat Chelsea next week as we'll have taken 6 points off the visitors and finished above them.

Que sera sera

Either for me, I think it will stretch us next season as despite what people say, you won't progress far in the conference league fielding a team of kids and reserves.

It would be a real turning point for our club though to see us in a European competition and for me, would put Regis up there as one of our greatest managers.

Summit I read about suffering with spend if in Europe and prize money for conference is simply not worth it for a club trying to establish itself in PL.

I saw somewhere that it's generally a net-loss financially.

I'd much prefer the Europa League, you usually get to play some very notable sides. Wouldn't be disappointed with the conference though.

Yeah , qualification means an enormous success to the whole club and got to take it, but honestly would just love us to build on our PL success. Certainly wouldn't slate them if they miss out ( like some would).
An amazing achievement this season

Plus we are in a position where it shouldn't be too hard to hit the extra stringent UEFA financial rules, that might not be the case once we've built the squad up some more.

For "easier" group games we could put a side out like this:

Ellborg
Hume O'Nien Seelt Hjelde
Rigg Browne Aleksic
Jocelin Mayenda Mundle
Immediately a pretty strong team to play against teams from Slovenia, Moldova and Croatia, without making a single signing.

In reality we'll probably have better backups than some of the above in the squad.

Also, toss off both domestic cups.

I'll be delighted if we get europe, but I'll not be too upset if we don't.
A top 10 and 50+ points is by far more than I expected (and especially those 6 points)

If the first team aren’t playing in Europe there’s no need to toss off anything domestically. The whole point of being in the PL (for me) is to have a squad capable of winning something.

Agree with your European team though
