Europa or Conference League

either or really would be a fantastic achievement and likely accelerate whatever the recruitment plan is over the next few years given we'll really need to fill out the squad to cope

Europa as the UEFA Cup is a genuinely big trophy to compete for and any English side has a decent shout. Tbh though I think Conference would be good for us too despite the extra games for little extra money. We’re a club trying to market ourselves as attractive to exciting young players, but we also have to stay in the Premier League, so these games would be an excellent way of keeping players involved and blooding young players in meaningful matches. I know other clubs have struggled with the extra games but I just have a feeling Le Bris and the staff would deal with it better.

Conference League because we could win it and could play a reserve team in most of the group games.

This for me.

As I have mentioned previously I'd make Luke O'Nien our European captain and he would play every game. He would be in charge of the group and pitting them against the first team in training and getting team spirit going. Obviously first teamers would play too, coming back from injury and hopefully in the later stages but Luke would retain his spot even if Xhaka played.

The League would still be a massive priority but we could play almost the whole first team for must win games.

We'd probably lose money being in the Conference League, as cool and all as it would be.

Europa has more prestige (and money) but we’d have a better chance of winning the Conference. Probably prefer Europa but I’d be happy with either.

Looking at the Final table worst finish 12th best finish 7th. For me Conference we have a better chance of winning but what worries me is the depth of our squad and travel next season could make us finish closer to the relegation trap door.

Obviously, either. But if I were able to choose, I'd choose Conference.

We'd be one of the favourites to win it, at which point we would be in the Europa.

There's not as much difference as I had thought in the quality / recognition of the teams as I thought.

This season, in the Conference League, Palace have played Frederikstad, Dynamo Kyiv, AEK Larnaca, AZ67 Alkmaar, Strasbourg, Shelbourne, KuPS, Zrinjski Mostar, Fiorentina, and Shakhtar Donetsk.

Villa, in the Europa League, have played Bologna, Feyenoord, Go Ahead Eagles, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Young Boys, FC Basel, Fenerbahce, Red Bull Salzburg, Lille, and Nottingham Forest.

So the Europa League is stronger, but I'm not going to turn my nose up at us playing Fiorentina or Dynamo Kyiv in a European competition.
