So...happy to pay a small fortune to travel away to see us play a lesser club...but unwilling to pay say 20 quid more for a home Europa League game than we'd pay for the second round of the League Cup or summat. Each to their own of course, but I just find that very odd.

Out of interest, how much would you be willing to pay for a 'lesser home tie?' Are you on about boycotting games over a princely 10 or 15 quid?
 

I wonder if there's a type of middle ground. Do a 4 game package for say £150, can even pay it over 3 months, 1st of July, August and September. Gives people who want to go, but aren't minted, pretty good value for the first 4 European matches at the SOL.

Then after that charge a fair bit for the pot 1 game, and £40 for each of the others.

I’d be happy with a season ticket holders getting around £30 a ticket and the rest of us being around £45.

Seems fair to honor loyalty while also taking advantage of the situation and kicking on again

What makes you think that the thousands who watched shite for decades won’t pay the going rate for Europa league football?
We haven’t even seen the prices yet.

At some point there’s a ‘10 or 15 quid’ that tips you over the line. I dunno, but I’d start thinking about it at £40 to watch a rotated team against a pot 4 side (my expectation - RLB might prove me wrong). I’ve paid for just about every senior game in the SOL’s history so it’s not like I generally begrudge the club cash.

Everyone in business is driven for marginal gains, I get it. But if the other way to look at it is that they could price it to fill the place and flip it to accept that it’s a tiny reduction in what the club has to spend on players. Naff all in the grand scheme of things.

I’d do a cup DD scheme and go £25 EL, £20 FAC, £15 LC or something.

People will say that’s laughable but having sat in far too many shite ‘East Stand only’ games SAFC just need to concentrate on packing the place out for me.

I/We have a group chat with c20 people, I have about the highest number of points on 41 and I will probably struggle for most of our European away days....
Guess what, I dont care / I plan on doing all 4, and speaking to most on our group chat, there will be 1 of the 4 away games which stands out to the others, and IF that is say a Milan, I am fully expecting the majority of our group going, and all without tickets.

I'm not sure where you have been for the last 50 years, of if you have just woken up from an induced coma, or you actually do not understand or appreciate how much interest these 4 European away games will attract!

But yes there would be at least 10,000 in Milan, very strange to think otherwise

If its £30.01p it will be the most I have paid since the Championship and the play off final due to the PL cap.

It will be more than that as the club will want to maximise revenue. Be worth every penny in my opinion to see my team play competetive European football for the first time since I was 7 (No I did not go).

The first Euro game will be 4 or 5 days before my 60th birthday and I was starting to think ever seeing 1 match was a forlorn pipedream.

I went to a Feynoord (League game) last year. The ticket office were really helpful 😎 Apparently there were no tickets sales on match day, I'd only just arrived in the Netherlands the day before, and it was a 'spur of the moment' thing.
I gave them a sob story that I'd just arrived from Australia (which I had) and they gave me a ticket in the main hospitality area near the posh seats with entrance ticket to the supporters area, like the Black Cats bar. Also gave me a supporters scarf 💕

Talk about buying a supporter 😂
