Europa Home Games

We’ve got one thread on here suggesting we could take 10/15,000 away from home with the majority not having tickets then people on here saying we won’t sell out home games at £40-£50 a ticket……I understand the appeal of the away days but surely people will sort the home games first, especially if go on sale this month, then sort the away games if they are able to afford and get the time off work

I’m sure they have millions of cars they would like to sell.

We are talking about 40,000 seats at the most hoped for matches in your lifetime.

Let’s twist again, as Chubby Checker once said.
im not twisting mate.

Dreampt of nights like these.

Quite a dilema for the club. Stange comp too. Facing european giants and relative minnows equivalent to champ sides.

Id like it priced sensibly so our ‘legacy’ fans cann all enjoy it.

A mag friend took his wife n daughter to a couple of champ league games at £85 a seat. Ferk me £255 before travel a meal or drink.

It’ll be more than that like which is fine

I think the club have to be careful to strike a balance. £50 per ticket against Milan at home could sell out.

But £50 per ticket at home to Torreense for example would be a disaster.

There's a big disparity in quality between the teams in the competition, which is why I think a package for all 4 games would be the best way forward. Especially if we have some home games against relatively poor opposition...

I’m pretty certain that’s what they’ll do.

If its 50 quid for a home game people will sacrifice a couple of home group games so they can afford to go away. Its the first time in 53 years the club has played a competitive game outside of england and wales.

Completely understand the significance of the games outside of England/Wales but can’t understand paying X amount to travel and watch a game on TV but not go to the stadium for a home game in the same competition. Fair enough the atmosphere away will be immense but if I had to, I’d still choose to go to an actual game

I think.it's the away games that appeal more to fans tbh. The whole experience of going abroad to follow the lads

Aye, but if they make it a 4 game package only deal to ensure full houses, that's tricky

The club aren't going to rip fans off or take advantage of the fact that we are in a European competition for the first time since 73/74 as a result of us WINNING a major competition back then ( just making a point there 😉).

As a recent joiner of the 65 club my SC is £422 which is just over £22 per PL game. I am convinced a four ticket package will be no more than £120/£130 maximum for where I sit in the corner where East Stand meets North Stand.

If you're in the East Stand centre for example and pay an average of £35 a game, you won't be paying more than £150 for the four games.

There's some absolute scare mongering nonsense on this thread - £50 per game my hairy fking arse man.🙄🙄🙄

That's why I think it would be better for all parties to set a fair price for a 4 game package.

Would be even better for the club if they could include mandatory purchase of home domestic cup ties as part of the deal.

If they can give a more affordable price to fans to watch European football as long as they can guarantee a large crowd for domestic cup games then this could be a win, win all round.

There was 22k there in the league cup against Huddersfield last year, but seemed like less. Maybe doing a package could guarantee 30k for the cup games as well.

Marra, it felt like there was 50k at the Huddersfield match because of how they released the tickets, as in the East stand crush. 🤣
