Europa Home Games

Of course the home games will sell out man.....did everyone not see the reaction in the ground at full time when everyone realise we had got Europa League.....first time in my lifetime. It will be bouncing man.

I’m as buzzing as anyone about this campaign but Maritimo on a Thursday in December with 300 away fans and a heavily rotated team is unlikely to be bouncing!

Yes. I would log into my account now and buy the 4 tickets if they were available. Be ideal if you can buy all 4 as a mini-season card type effort, just one single purchase.

What they really must not do is this selling off block by block bullshit as per domestic cups.

Add it to the existing season ticket direct debit and you'll get the majority of season ticket holders signed up within a few days.

£50 quid charity bet to Bradley Lowery Foundation, we'll sell out all 4 home games. I've had the privilege of seeing us playing European football at Roker and abroad but I'm in my 70's. There'll be queues for these games man.

I don't gamble. Plus wed have to see the price as its all depending on that. If we charge what villa charged, we'd get similar crowds.

Don't forget loads of the kids who have season tickets & dont go to night games, wont be there. The lads who work shifts & pass their ticket to a mate wont be there. And neither will the mate as they only go on a freebie. The pot1 glamour tie will be in demand, the game against cluj or whatever wont be.

You're talking as if we're Villa who have had CL football recently. This city and club has been starved of ANY sort of European football for 54 years.

It sounds mad, it sounds stupid and it sounds cruel but it will be true, there'll be families who starve themselves for a week or so to be able to watch SAFC in Europe.

My dad is 71 and will probably struggle to pull out the extra for all 4 europa games. But I'll make sure he gets there for them.

It will be the same across the fan base. I'm 77 and I'm lucky enough that I can make sure that my 2 lads and daughter and 4 grandkids can get to see all the home games and hopefully at least one away game. It's not nice but people will beg and borrow to get to see these games.

And they can pick & choose 1 of 4 games. Many will simply be priced out going to all 4 especially if its a family if the club charge top dollar.
That's the full ST loyalty price though and the club won't be giving the same loyalty discount on cup games

In domestic cup competitions, tickets are generally lower than league matchday prices. And the crowds are still poor as people obviously dont want to constantly fork out extra for games over & above the season ticket. Its only when theres a high jeopardy game they will, which the europa games arent until the knock outs

Fair enough if you don’t go due to the extra expense, but I cannot fathom deciding not to go and watch a Sunderland home game in Europe because the opposition are less fashionable. We’ll be there to watch Sunderland won’t we?

The point being is that if you cant afford to fork out for all 4, or your at work & cant get holidays for all, then youre more likely to try to get the glamour games over the lesser teams if youre only able to make 1 or 2.

Its no different to normal league games that certain opposition create more demand than others.
