Someone tell the above that I’m chuffed to be on their ignore list and that unfortunately they were on mine years ago but I took everyone off ignore in a moment of weakness a couple of years back.

I maybe on dozens of ignore lists but it’s the first time I’ve been told of it. Nigh on 20yrs on here nee bans and only one ignore list. Must try harder seems to the verdict.

Take on board it would need to be fit for purpose in the long term but we have ambitious growth plans as a city and anything that accelerates that would be great. Birmingham isn't really comparable. We need more hotels (e.g. no room at the Inn when huge amounts of visitors such as concerts,) second stage of rail station etc and the stadium has been let go. Hence my 'legacy' thinking, though I concede the euros is not as big as the world cup.

Yes, riverside development etc is great but we're so far behind other cities anything that accelerates growth would be great.
Hopefully studios come off too which would be a game changer for the local economy/visitors etc.
Stadium needs some tlc too.

Infrastructure needs upgrading regardless including hotel capacity in the city as does stadium and we've not sorted it due to incompetence and subsequent lack of funds. Euros felt a good excuse with a better legacy than vanity projects....though maybe less significant than a world cup bid in that sense.
I'm at the bob murray talk in/book launch thing tonight. Hes mentioned kld said the board has plans to put money into the stadium. Hopefully something comes of that and will ask him if we are allowed to ask qs!

For everyone saying sunderland would never get picked, it did get picked as a world cup stadium for 2018 failed world cup bid. So the f.a must see something in Sunderland.

It would get picked in a tournament held exclusively in England. But when it’s spread out we’ll not get picked over Newcastle as the North East venue.

My biggest concern at the moment is this new combined mayor, we fell miles behind when tyneside devel corp was set up (TWDC) and most of the money was funnelled into Newcastle

I am not obsessed by Sunderland as such. This forum does intreague me though. There is so much Bollox spouted by some on here and you are a main culprit.

When confronted all you ever have is to say that things like "we are obsessed" or "go back to your own forum" or ban us.

Literally thousands of pages about NUFC, and without exception they get hidden away in RTGs online shame dungeon ultimately. But yeah sure - it is us few NUFC fans that read it and challenge it that are obsessed.

I shall await my ban.

There were mags watching our u21 game on YT the other night giving it the big 'un in the chat. Every SAFC video on YT has a mag in the comments. Some of your fans are obsessed with us, as are some of our fans obsessed with you lot.

Given the rivalry, I'm not surprised, but if you don't like the forum, perhaps leaving it would be your best course of action. Arguing with Sunderland fans on a Sunderland fan forum obviously will not end well for you.
