With Saj in the Essex team, it could be a good opportunity for the England batsmen to find some form. ;-)
 
Why have a warm up game if you're gonna rest key players? Just don't bother with the game at all? Or is this game literally just to get KP some 4 day cricket?
 
Could also have played a team in Division One. Would have also made sense to play at a venue which will be used in the Ashes. :roll:
