Essex v Durham County Championship 8-11 Sept

In the battle from 5-10th for survival

Hampshire bowled out for 226 after put into bat. So a positive Hampshire not made any bonus points with bat. Not sure on what result would be best in that one.

Sussex still have to play Yorkshire and Worcs with Hampshire Somerset and Surrey.

So potentially a Sussex win would be best to pull Hampshire in with difficult games to come. Although a draw means Sussex have to go and beat Yorkshire

Rain has impacted the other two games that impact us.

Somerset 155/3 from 42 after put into bat by Yorkshire
Worcs 158/8 from 46.3 after put into bat by Notts.

Wins for us, Somerset and Notts would be the ideal scenario of this round of games. Then we shall see on the Sussex/Hampshire game.

Slowed down a bit here, batting points are important but cheap wickets have cost us momentum so having to be careful against the new ball.

I mean, McKinney made 120 🤷‍♂️

Clark has scratched about for an hour or so for 15.

We’re going down aren’t we?
Looks that way.....like i posted before the likes of Clark are uncomfortable playing defensive cricket......his instinct is to attack . Same applies to most of our other batsmen , particularly Robinson and McKinney wholooked increasingly vulnerable as the run rate slowed
