Enzo

Just watched the highlights back there. That touch on his chest and turn to play in Brobbey was f***ing sublime

He's nee Jason Knight

How many deep lying midfielders have won the golden boot? 😅
I was showing how ridiculous his whataboutery is. We all know Xhaka is an unbelievable player, but to say he is "millions of times better" than some other Sunderland legends is just plain crackers. He might even be the best, but "millions"? I find that rather patronising to the other legends who have worn the Sunderland shirt.

Strange poster him, fancy posting, without explaining why one of our best and most consistent players wouldn't get into any other team in the EPL. Sounds more like a jealous mag than a lads fan. Maybe still smarting from the double nutmeg that led to Brobby's goal or maybe he's just a sad troll with nowt better to do.
Have we ever had a more technically talented player as Enzo, who also works his socks off when we're not on the ball?

The wizard never stops.
I can't think of one as talented, Malbranqe, Cummins, Rowell, Shack and others were all gifted but not to the extent of the Elf in my opinion.

Sessegnon at his best is the only one that may come close for similar technical ability imo but didn't put in half as much graft as Le Fee

Nah, he's the perfect Sunderland player I think, loads of ability, but nobody works harder and has more fight in them.

The standout think about Xhaka's game is his awareness and his ability to know where the next pass is. I've never seen another Sunderland player like him, I don't even think there's a comparison you can make.

Baxter in his prime maybe.

I think Enzo is the closest we have at the moment to a midfield general of Xhaka's class albeit he hasn't the physicality but does have the tenacity. He's played as a 6 and an 8 under Le Bris before, but I prefer him as a 10 where in my opinion he's at his best. If we can keep hold of him this Summer and the next few years who better to learn from than Xhaka about how best to play the 6 role.

How many European Golden Boots/Shoes has Xhaka won?
How many trophies has SKP won?

This place man - suggesting Enzo as a 6 is insane

Le Fee must play centrally. He’s putting defence splitting balls through practically every game in there now.
He also did this from out wide plenty of times too. Villa away for example. Too much is made about formation, when it isn’t massively relevant. The biggest difference recently hasn’t been an uptick in Enzos form but better runs made by our team to allow these passes. Enzos always been capable of making them - but when was the last time Sadiki ran past the striker for instance to allow the pass like he did this weekend? Or like Diarra did against Villa? Or isidor against Villa?

Steed comes closest imo. Was also a hard worker, but ran out of energy on 60 mins every game and had poor end product.

Le Fee is easily one of the best midfielders I’ve seen for us. Insane that we got him in the championship.

Thankfully he goes under the radar because most of the attention is on Xhaka & Sadiki in midfield.
