Went home with the Lions squad didn't he?
Matt Parkinson, the Lancashire legspinner, is the surprise omission, with Liam Dawson - who is seen by England as a more versatile bowler and offers more with the bat and in the field - again preferred as the back-up spin option. Parkinson is understood to have been placed on standby as a reserve.

Where did you copy and paste that from

Ridiculous if that's the case, although parkinson can be a bit of a dodgy fielder dawson has never shown much

Golden boys Billings and Banton but no Harry Brook or Will Smeed.
Chris Silverwood taking a break after the Ashes
The fuck's that all about? He's paid a fortune and got Smith removed from his post so he could do his job as well.

I hope they ace it and Colly is appointed full time white ball coach.

Tbf mind, I know Banton had a poor year but previous to that had looked very very good.

Would definitely persevere with him.

Ben Duckett has been doing very well in the big bash I believe. Garton went for 48 off 3 overs today

Jordan should've been discarded after the WC imo

Aye I agree

We need to look at some fresh blood, I dont rate Jordan tbh, not as a bowler, I kind of understand why he is in, as he is always available and can bat and field

But the Aussies showed the way to go winning it like, just rock up with your best XI when it matters.

Aye, Garton is quick but just very wild like

The Parkinson is solely on Morgan like, clearly doesnt rate him

It seems a bit strange, but they have faced so much of him in the nets, maybe they just find him very easy to hit or someit?

Who knows, I dont rate Silverwood at all, but this will be Morgan's squad.

Dropped out of the BBL due to 'bubble fatigue' and getting 5's and 8's in the Lanka Premier League.

There's an argument for picking your form players.

Salt is in the same tournament and right up the top of the averages,

I think you pick ones who you think can replace our stars in 3 or 4 yeats

the results are meaningless other than for the fans out there I guess.

I think long term Banton a future star and tours like this definitely the right time to give him a go

Personally I just don’t see it
He's alright but only one of a number of promising players and less promising than the two I mentioned.

Brook and Smeed more than fit into that category, in better form and younger than Banton.
