Any thoughts on what it could be? Rumoured to involve swapping the ball from left to right hand in delivery stride.

And bowling with the wrong hand???

Probably some shite that Broad's come up with that will work once then be smashed all over, like that time he decided to bowl around the wicket and wide of off.

Don't think you'd be allowed to do that, because you have to tell the umpire what you're bowling. It was the precedent people were using when saying KP shouldn't be allowed to play the switch hit.

its refreshing to see players try different things such as when Dilshan did his dil scoop. to evolve, the game will need new ideas, techniques etc

Absolutely, I hope it works rather than just a gimmik. Can't think of many English pioneers in modern cricket other than KP switch hitting.

Some new kind of short ball, they seem a bit obsessed with that at the minute.

I can see the switch hit being banned very soon because the batsmen is gaining an unfair advantage

I think there's so much risk involved it in playing the shot the ICC will allow it, I think they've pretty much said as much to be honest.

Surely a bowler changing hands and bowling with his wrong hand has more skill and risk, in fact if anybody can do it they should be considered a genius:-)

you couldnt do that.

you have to advise the umpire what your action is so if you say left arm over you cant bowl with your right

I know, but I couldn't think of anything else the OP was suggesting. People do that quite often anyway to hide the shine/seam position so I didn't see any innovation.

On friday Bresnan was running in with the ball in his left hand then switching it to his right just before his action started
