England's bowling stock

was just talking about this earlier. Get them in quickly and used to test cricket. No good playing the old guard against the West Indies next summer.
Someone also mentioned Rew as a wicket keeper so will keep an eye on him.

I’d go Robinson, Wood, Potts and Tongue as the core group. Archer too if he ever gets fit, but that’s a big if. J Overton, Atkinson, Cook and a few others also worth a look.

Throw in Woakes at home.

I would like to see Jimmy offered a player/coach role to pass on his wisdom and still play but maybe not as regularly

Carse can’t be far away from a call up. He’d have probably made his debut by now if it weren’t for injuries
I was asking me mate who does a lot of Durham duty and says he’s as ready now as he ever will be. Might need the country lift to progress to next level as he is in danger of going flat on the county circuit. Sure stokes will have him in the pot of possibles

Trouble with Carse ls his fitness record is poor and at times he is expensive even at first class level.

His batting has really come on this year but remains to be seen if he is even international class.

England really need to stop putting so much faith in injury prone bowlers. Part of test cricket is durability.
